What is the difference between a Modification and a Variance?
A modification is issued/processed by LADBS. A variance is handled by the Department of City Planning, when a project is not a by-right project.
What projections are allowed to the building’s footprint and height and still be considered as an Eligible Project?
Eaves: Project into the required side yard not more than 4 inches for each foot of width of such side yard, provided the width of the side yard is not reduced to less than 30 inches. Project into the required front and rear yards not more than 30 inches.
