Expanded Counter Plan Check

Permits for modest projects like multi-floor tenant improvements, medium-sized home additions and others that require a plan check.

Additional Information

Permits can be issued over the counter through an Expanded Counter Plan Check (ECPC) process. The plans are reviewed the same day as plan submittal, usually taking 2-3 hours.

Expanded Counter Plan Check is a pilot project, available at our Metro (Downtown), Van Nuys, and West LA offices.

  • Medium-size home addition

Commercial Projects.

  • Multi-Floor tenant improvement with no change in use
